On Thursday, 17th September,2015 an ISSER delegation led by the Director, Prof A. Asante, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Managing Director of Banque Sahelo-Saherienne pour l’investissement et le Commerce(Gh) Ltd- BSIC (Gh Ltd) trading as Sahel Sahara Bank,
Dr. Kojo Aboagye-Debrah at the Bank’s Head office at Adabraka. Members of the ISSER delegation included Dr. Charles Ackah, Head of the Economics Division of ISSER and Mrs. Lucy Ofori-Ayeh, Senior Assistant Registrar of the Institute.
The rationale for the visit was to explore possible areas of collaboration between ISSER and BSIC (Gh) Ltd.
The discussions centered on collaborating on advocacy to create a good environment for businesses to thrive in Ghana. To this end, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be fashioned out to include an institutional support for the organisation of a Development Seminar Series to create an opportunity for the discussion of topical issues germane to policy making in Ghana and a mid-year review of the economy. The collaboration will also entail support to ISSER’s annual Roadshow to disseminate the State of the Ghanaian Economy Report in other regions beyond the capital city.
