Congratulations! Three PhD students Mr. Francis Dompae, Mr. Alexis Beyuo and Miss Andaratu Achuliwor Abdallah of the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research, University of Ghana passed their oral examinations on Thursday, 11th April, and Tuesday, 16th April, 2019 held at the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP) and the Department of Economics, University of Ghana.

Mr. Francis Dompae’s thesis was titled: “Determinants and Outcomes of Green Revolution Technology Adoption in Maize Farming in Ghana”. His Oral Examination was held on Thursday, 11th April, 2019 at the Department of Economics, University of Ghana.The Internal Examiner was Prof. Bruce Sarpong, Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Ghana while the External Examiners were Prof. Seidu Alhassan, University of Development Studies and Prof. Nicholas N. N. Nsowah Nuamah from Dominion University. Prof. Daniel Kwabena Twerefuo chaired the panel.

Mr. Alexis Beyuo’s thesis was titled:Examining the relevance of grassroots participatory approaches for sustainable agriculture: the case of Ghana’s Upper West Region. Internal Examiner was Prof. Wayo Seini of the Department of Agricultural Economics, University of Ghana. The External Examiners were Prof. John A. Mincah, Institute of Development and Tech. Management, University of Cape Coast and Prof. Seidu Alhassan, University of Development Studies and the chair was Prof Peter Quartey.

Miss Andaratu Achuliwor Abdallah, had her oral examination on Tuesday, 16th April, at theWest African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP), University of Ghana. Her topic was “Labour Market Outcomes and Subjective wellbeing of University Graduates in Ghana”. Internal examiner was Dr Bernadin Senadza, Department of Economics, University of Ghana. External Examiners were Prof John A. Micah Institute of Development and Tech. Management, University of Cape Coast and Dr George Essibey, CSIR- STEPRI. Prof. Augustin Fosu chaired the panel.
