Mr. Ernest Bagson, a PhD student in Development Studies at ISSER, University of Ghana made the institute proud on Tuesday 26 February 2019 when he passed his PhD Oral Examination. The title of his Thesis was: “Analysis of Informal Crime Prevention Strategies in Urban Ghana, the case study of Kumasi and Tamale.” The venue was Kankam Twum Barimah Hall, ISSER. 

Two external examiners Prof. Joseph R. Oppong, Department of Geography and the Environment, University of North Texas, USA and Prof. Daniel Buor, Department of Geography and Rural Development, KNUST and an internal examiner Dr. Charlotte Wrigley-Asante, Department of Geography and Resources Development, University of Ghana examined him.

The audience at the hall showed their delight with an applause when Professor Peter Quartey, chairman of the panel declared the good news.
