The management of the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) on Thursday 27th September, 2018 held a one-day meeting with its stakeholders to discuss how best they can work together. The meeting was held at ISSER’s conference facility.
The event brought together stakeholders from institutions such as the Ghana Education Service, Ghana Monitoring Evaluation Forum, Ministry of Roads and Highways, Ministry of Finance, Millennium Development Authority, Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Employment, Ministry of Education, Centre for Social Policy Studies , Ministry of Communications and Graduate Students Association of Ghana .
Prof. Felix Asante opened the function and took participants through a presentation on the brief history, Strategic objectives and activities of ISSER. Supporting Prof. Asante was Prof. Robert Osei-Darko who led the discussion sessions.
Among the topics discussed were ISSER’s strategic objectives for the next five years as well as how best ISSER could improve its Research, Advocacy and Training.
The stakeholders commended ISSER and encouraged the institute to continue using its social media platforms among others to disseminate information regularly in order to get closer to their respective institutions. They expressed an interest to have ISSER’s research skills roped in to help their respective institutions.
