The Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research, ISSER, on Monday 27th August, 2018 held an orientation at the start of the 2018/2019 academic year for 11 students who are pursuing an M.A degree Programme in Development Studies.
Professor Felix Ankomah Asante, Director of the Institute, formally welcomed the fresh men and women to the Institute and encouraged them to be part of the activities of the Institute. He urged them to be present at seminars and conferences which are part of their and other programmes since attendance to seminars is a requirement in their course of study.
Professor Peter Quartey advised the students to give their whole time to the programme they have come to pursue and also take advantage of the many educational activities in the university to add on to their knowledge.
Miss Eccles Andoh, Administrative Secretary/Assistant Registrar, Dr Martha Awo, the M.A Course Coordinator, Mr. David Odjeawo, Senior Librarian, encouraged the students to take their studies seriously, present their work on time and avoid situations that would put undue pressure on supervisors while students make the most of ISSER’s facility.
Lectures began on 20th August 2018.
